3. Words Have The Power to delight: The Fountain

The fresh water represents:

• Water is life-giving fountain - Our words can give life
• We can not be healthy without water

The good man utters words of wisdom, comfort and edification. 

Thoughtless Speech

• Some peoples normal speech pattern is to accuse, belittle, manipulate, mock, insult, or condemn, and their rash words hurt other people and feel like thrusts of a sword.
• Reckless words may not be intended to hurt, but can be very hurtful. They may not be thought through. Works spoken from a wiseheart can do the opposite; they can heal (cf. 15:4) instead of hurt.

 

Wise Speech

• The tongue of the wise promotes "healing."
• Words bring healing because they are faithful and true, gentle and kind, and uplifting and encouraging
